Department of International Relations and Master of International Relations proudly present an academic discussion with visiting Scholar Professor Dr. Bilveer Singh from the Rajaratman School of International Studies, National University of Singapore and Professor Dr. Bambang Cipto from International Relations Studies, Muhammadiyah University of Yoyakarta. The discussion talk entitled “The Rising China and Impact to Indonesia” and was participated by lecturer and students.
In the discussion, Prof. Bilveer Singh explained how the beginning of China emerged as a great power until China at this time. The rise of China is influenced by countries that become cooperative partners, one of the countries is Indonesia. According to Prof. Bilveer Singh, Indonesia is very important for China because Indonesia is a country with the largest Muslim majority, Indonesia as a market for Chinese products and a place of the diaspora for most Chinese people.
